The Department of Comparative Literature at Princeton University seeks to appoint Lecturers to teach courses in early modern (fourteenth to seventeenth century European) and modern (nineteenth and twentieth century European) literature, media, and text-based culture. Responsibilities include teaching courses and/or precept sections, grading student work, and holding weekly office hours. Enrichment activities such as field trips, film screenings, and the invitation of speakers from other disciplines or from outside the University will be encouraged. Appointment duty time is subject to enrollments, and any positions may be for the Fall 2023 and/or Spring 2024 semesters, depending on departmental need. PhD required.
