The Department of English at the University of Arkansas invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Early Modern British Literature to start in August 2027. The successful applicant can expect to teach two courses per semester, including Introduction to Shakespeare. The University of Arkansas has a vibrant community of pre-modernists and an active program in Medieval and Renaissance Studies that sponsors reading groups, conferences, and a colloquium series.
