PROBABLE PORTRAIT OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE
(THE “WADLOW PORTRAIT”)
PRIVATE VIEWING IN STRATFORD UPON AVON
11-14 NOVEMBER 2025

Steven Wadlow has spent the last 12 years seeking answers to the origin of a picture which hung above his TV at home. Someone had mentioned that it could be of William Shakespeare.

During these 12 years, Steven has met with more positives than negatives and remains convinced that it is indeed a portrait of Shakespeare.

It has been the subject of a recent Netflix film “STUFF OF DREAMS” which follows Steven on his voyage of discovery.

The “Wadlow Portrait” portrait will be on show during a Private Viewing of original Shakespeare related documents in Stratford-upon-Avon from 11 – 14 November 2025.

“I am delighted to discuss the provenance of our painting and bring it along to this event” says Steven Wadlow. “After the Netflix documentary, we have been inundated with calls and we are keen to continue the discussion surrounding its provenance with the Guests at this event in November 2025”.

The Original Manuscript Society, which arranges trips to see manuscripts of music and literature, has put together this Shakespeare event to include the original Register of his Birth/Death and the last letter written to him by Richard Quinney in 1598.

“We have been working closely with the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust on this event and we have an exciting line-up. It is a deep honour to announce that we are showing the Wadlow Portrait to our Guests and we thank Steven for his time in attending and bringing the painting with him”.

There are only 30 places available at the event and interested Guests can find out more at www.originalmanuscriptsociety.com
